Seerkl ("we", "us") operates seerkl.app. We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nLPD/DSG) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

• Account data: Email, display name, username, bio
• Profile data: Avatar, interests, location (optional)
• Usage data: Posts, messages, likes, event RSVPs
• Technical data: IP address, device type, browser (for security)

3. How We Use Your Data

• Provide and improve the Seerkl service
• Enable proximity-based discovery (with your consent)
• Send notifications you have opted into
• Ensure platform safety and enforce our terms

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored on servers located in Zurich, Switzerland (Hetzner datacenter). We use Supabase for database and authentication services.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising. Profile information is only visible to members of your shared circles.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Export all your data (Settings > Account)
• Rectify: Edit your profile at any time
• Delete: Request account deletion (7-day grace period)
• Portability: Download your data in JSON format
• Object: Disable location sharing, push notifications

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies only: authentication session and language preference. No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies.
